Studento Privacy Policy
Studento is a school clock app. It works without an account, and almost everything happens on your device. This page explains the little that doesn't.
Without an account
Your schedule, class names, settings, notes and grades are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. Bell alerts are scheduled on your device; Studento does not use push notifications.
Picking a school's bell schedule downloads that schedule from our server. That request carries no personal information.
With an account (optional)
If you create an account, we store:
- Your username and a salted, slow hash of your password (never the password itself).
- Your schedule data (classes, rooms, chosen school and schedule, and some settings) so you can restore it on another device.
We never ask for your name, email, phone or location. You can delete your account and everything stored with it at any time in Settings > Account > Delete account. Deletion is immediate.
Schedule reader
If you are signed in and use "Scan my schedule", the photo (or the text you typed) is sent to our server, which asks an AI model to read the periods, classes, rooms and times. The photo is processed in memory to answer that request and is not saved by us. The reader can make mistakes, so the app always shows you a review screen to confirm or fix each row before anything is saved.
Shared school schedules
If you publish a bell schedule for your school, its name and times become visible to other Studento users who pick that school. Your username is not shown with it.
What we don't do
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no selling of data.
- No sharing with third parties, except that the schedule reader sends the photo or text to the AI provider used to read it (Google Gemini or Cloudflare Workers AI), only for that request.
Children
Studento is made for students. We collect only a username and the schedule data described above, and parents or students can delete the account in the app at any time.
